Phillys May  Miller (Keimig)
Phillys May Miller, 80, gained her angel wings May 30, 2017 at Diversicare of Hutchinson, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Nashville, Kansas on June 4, 1936, the daughter of Ray and Dortha Keimig. She was a retired machine operator from Eaton Corporation.

Besides tending and caring for her family, she loved to crochet, read Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels, work crossword puzzles, and bake. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all that she met – she always had a kind word and smile for everyone that crossed her path.

She is survived by 1 son, Michael (Sheila) Ledgerwood of Paducah, Kentucky; 2 daughters, Vickie (James) VanHoose of Hutchinson, and, Julie (Steven) White of Wichita, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and, 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Phillip and Larry; 1 sister, Kitty, 1 granddaughter, Michelle; 1 great grandson, Brighton, and, two great great granddaughters, Tallulah and Everly.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 from 11:00 am -2:00 pm with a time of reflection at 12:30 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial with gifts going to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation and gifts may be left in care of the funeral home.
