Mavis Lee Dick (Holloway)
Mavis Lee Dick, 84, passed away July 16, 2017 at Mr. Hope Nursing Home, Mt. Hope, Kansas. The daughter of Walter and Anna Mae Holloway, she was born November 3, 1932 in Hoisington, Kansas. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend to so many.
She loved to drink Pepsi while playing Bingo, enjoyed watching detective shows on television while holding her cat, Angel, and was a one time member of Eastern Star. Playing bridge and marbles with her brother Cleo and sister in law, Margie, and doing crafts and ceramics for family gifts were some of her favorite things to do.
She is survived by two sons, Randy and Robert ( Kathy ) Dick; 1 brother, Clyde Holloway, son in law Dave Hamby; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dorinda, 6 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Friends may stop in and sign the register book Friday, July 21, 2017 from 9:00 – 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and left in care of the funeral home.
