Obituary for Patricia l. Enslinger (Bowen)

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia L. Enslinger announces her unexpected passing on November 30, 2017, she was 51. Patti will lovingly be remembered by her husband George of 27 years, and her children John, Johnathan and Christopher. Patti will forever be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Andrew, Maddie and Kara; by her father Gene; her sister Alice; her brothers Tim and Greg; her numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Patti has gone to join her mother Donna, sister Carla, son Jeff and daughter Krista, who preceded her.
Patti was born April, 15 1966 in Los Angeles California. She was proud of her Military Brat status and spent the majority of her high school years in Germany. Patti graduated from Wichita East High School in 1984 after her family was transferred to McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS. She and George were married on August 25th 1990 and settled in Hutchinson, where she was a computer programmer for Underground Vaults and Storage. Patti spread light and laughter everywhere she went and lived life to its fullest with simple pleasures. She was an amazing friend who was always there for anyone in need and she had that special ability to reach people in a deep and meaningful way. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her as a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend.
A gathering of family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Patti, will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. This will be an opportunity for all to reminisce, grieve, lend support, and chat, as Patti would have wanted. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home followed by interment at Fairlawn Cemetery, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson, Kansas. The family asks that memorials be made to Reno County Food Bank in memory of Patti.
